Proteo Defence ("we", "our", "the app") Proteo Defence APP is committed to  protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information  the app processes and how it is handled.

The following data is never transmitted off your device:

• DNS queries — all DNS resolution and  filtering happens locally on your device using Apple's NetworkExtension  framework. No DNS queries are sent to any Proteo Defence server.
• Browsing history — the app does not observe, log, or transmit any HTTP/HTTPS traffic.
• Query logs — the DNS query log shown inside the app is stored locally and can be deleted at any time by the user.
• Allowlists and blocklists — your custom domain lists are stored on-device only.
• Device security signals — jailbreak checks, biometric status, and system health data are evaluated locally and never uploaded.
• Personal identifiers — no account, email, phone number, or name is required to use the app.

When you enable a HaGeZi blocklist or refresh your blocklists, the app downloads text files from public GitHub URLs (e.g., raw.githubusercontent.com/hagezi/dns-blocklists).  Your device's IP address may be visible to GitHub's servers during  these downloads. We do not operate or control GitHub's logging  practices.

If you use the email or domain breach check feature, the app queries the Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) API. Only a SHA-1 hash prefix (k-anonymity) or the domain name is transmitted. HIBP's privacy practices apply: haveibeenpwned.com/Privacy.

The app uses the following Apple-provided services, each governed by Apple's Privacy Policy:

• LocalAuthentication — Face ID / Touch ID (biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave).
• UserNotifications — local push notifications for breach alerts (scheduled on-device).
• NetworkExtension (DNS Proxy) — enables on-device DNS filtering.

All app data (settings, query logs, custom domain lists, PIN code) is stored in the app's sandboxed container using NSUserDefaults and Keychain Services. No data is uploaded to any Proteo Defence server. When you delete the app, all data is removed.

The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only external network calls are:

• Blocklist downloads from GitHub (user-initiated).
• HIBP API queries for breach checks (user-initiated).

Proteo Defence does not knowingly collect information from  children under 13. The app includes parental control features designed  to help guardians protect younger users.

• Access & Deletion: All data lives on your device. Delete the app to erase everything.
• Query Log: Clear the DNS query log at any time from within the app.
• Blocklists: Disable or remove any blocklist at any time.
• App Lock: Turn off the PIN/Face ID lock in Settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last  Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material  changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
